Olivier Giroud and Lucasz Fabianski will both be missing when Arsenal take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners failed with an appeal against Giroud’s sending off at Fulham last weekend and the French striker will now have to serve a three-match ban, so Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski will battle for the centre forward role in his absence.
Meanwhile Fabianski is still struggling through injury, with Wenger confirming that the goalkeeper has to be assessed week-by-week, but apart from that the Gunners boss has no fresh injury worries.
“The players who played last week at Fulham should all be available,” Wenger told the club’s website. “We lose Giroud of course because he’s suspended but that’s it.
“Fabianski is not available. It’s still week-to-week for him.”
Wenger must also decide whether or not to recall Jack Wilshere to the starting line up against the Premier League champions as he continues to nurse a niggling ankle injury.
