Arsenal could be set to make a summer move for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, according to Talksport
The Gunners’ are amongst a host of clubs interested in the attacker that made his name in Italy with Udinese, and it’s two Italian sides that are believed to be winning the race as both Juventus and Inter Milan weigh up moves for the 24-year-old.
Sanchez has endured a difficult spell with the Catalans since his signature back in Summer 2011 and could be on his way out of the club already, especially if Spanish media reports are to be believed.
Spanish media are in a frenzy around Brazilian wonder kid Neymar and claim that the Santos winger will be plying his trade at the Camp Nou no later than the summer of 2014.
The potential capture of Neymar wouldn’t be a cheap one for the club and it may see Barcelona try to offload Sanchez sooner rather than later, especially with David Villa coming back to both form and fitness since his ankle injury.
Gazzetta dello have reported that Arsenal are interested in the former River Plate star although the players is believed to prefer a return to the Serie A, a destination that has seen the winger play some of his best football of his career.
Juventus and Inter Milan look to be in poll position for the winger who if sold will be significantly less than the £24million Barcelona paid Udinese for his services.
