Arsenal fans have been singing the praises of former Gunners' left-back Nacho Monreal as he was described as "consistent in his prime".

Monreal, 33, joined the north London side in 2013 for £10m and spent six and a half years at the club before leaving for Real Sociedad in August.

The Spaniard played 251 times for Arsenal and scored 10 goals as well as providing 20 assists in the Premier League.

The 33-year-old was credited in August by Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who described him as a "top professional who always gave 100%" and added that he had "six successful seasons at the top", per football.london.

Arsenal supporters echoed comments made by the former Crystal Palace striker and appreciated the contributions that the Spaniard gave during his time at the Emirates.
