Arsenal fans are sweating over the fitness of defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos after left the field in the 39th minute on Sunday during their 2-0 win over Everton. The 30-year-old was replaced by Rob Holding, who made his first Premier League appearance of the season, after picking up a knee injury.

Sokratis has been an excellent addition since joining in the summer and has started all of Arsenal's games so far this season. Although Holding went about his business in a good fashion, keeping the Everton attackers out, the idea of losing Sokratis is a worrying one for both fans and manager.

Unai Emery, according to Arsenal, is hoping the injury isn't anything to worry about and has suggested that the Greek will be assessed on Monday morning.

The Gunners have two important upcoming matches this week against Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and then against high-flying Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
