Arsenal fans are hoping Eddie Nketiah's name will be in the starting line-up when the Gunners host Brentford at the Emirates in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is expected to tweak his team for the match against The Bees who are currently in seventh position in the Championship. Emery said on Tuesday that he will use the competition to give players a chance aren't regulars in the first team.

“For us it is the opportunity to do well in this competition, looking towards the title and look to ask the players for a performance," he told Arsenal's official website.

"One possibility is to give the players who are playing less in one competition to take minutes and this responsibility going forward."

A player like Nketiah already has experience in the competition after the 19-year-old made his Arsenal debut against Norwich City in the fourth round last season. The youngster came off the bench to score two goals, one of them being the winner in extra-time

Other players that could also be in action on Wednesday are Emile Smith-Rowe and Joe Willock.
