Arsenal sealed their first competitive win under Unai Emery on Saturday, securing three points after overcoming West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.

Things did not go the Gunners way throughout though as the hosts fell behind to Marko Arnautovic's strike but Nacho Monreal equalised just minutes later, with an own goal in the second half from Issa Diop handing Arsenal the lead.

Emery's side battled hard to seal the result with a third goal and finally found the breakthrough late on after Danny Welbeck's introduction, with the England international scoring off the bench to mark his return to the side in style.

Welbeck was widely linked with an exit over the course of the summer and faces a stern fight for regular action due to competition from the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, though he has opened his account for the season before both players.
