Arsenal have continued their revamp of the recruitment process by bringing in a new head of football relations.

Raul Sanllehi has moved to the Emirates from Barcelona, where he spent the last 14 years working with the Spanish giants.

The new face at Arsenal played a major role in bringing in top-name players at the Camp Nou, including Neymar, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain following a world-record transfer in the summer.

Sanllehi will begin his new role in February, when he will link up with manager Arsene Wenger, chief executive Ivan Gazidis and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy.

The club's hierarchy promised that there would be structural changes after Wenger signed a new two-year contract.

Arsenal have often been criticised by their own fans of not splashing the cash in the transfer window.

With Sanllehi now at the North London outfit, the supporters are optimistic that Arsenal are moving in the right direction.
