It is now seven games in a row unbeaten for Arsenal in all competitions.
It comes as a bit of a surprise, certainly considering some of the flak manager Unai Emery has taken in recent weeks. But it is true all the same.

The latest match of that run came against Standard Liege on Thursday night in the Europa League. The Gunners were 4-0 winners, with Gabriel Martinelli – twice – Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos grabbing the goals.
The fixture also saw a second start of the season for Kieran Tierney since the 22-year-old joined the north London outfit from Celtic in the summer. He has been unable to feature regularly due to injury up until this point, but he now seems to be approaching full fitness.
Reacting to the match against the Belgian side, it seems the team’s supporters were delighted with the Scotland international’s performance.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Just caught up on the game this morning. What a stroll in the park that was. Deadset, that Liege team are one of the worst sides l have seen play at the Emirates.
What a prospect Martinelli is. He was superb. Tierney’s crossing is fantastic. Can’t wait till he’s a PL starter.

Never mind all that, I was impressed with Tierney. His final ball is crisp….……. I know its only Standard Liege but man, can a brother dream?

18-year old Gabriel Martinelli had the Liège defenders on strings all game, so they reverted to taking their anger out on him with rash fouls. Who was the first person there to defend him? Kieran Tierney. He’s one of us already. I love his attitude.

Tierney and that Martinelli kid are different gravy

I’m still on a high about last night’s performance. Really good and so good to see Tierney, Holding and Bellerin rock it, along with the youth. Sadly today on twitter you see the same people that protected Wenger for years moan about poor Ozil and that Emery has to go.
