According to a report by Sky Sports, Arsenal are interested in signing Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu this summer after his agent confirmed to Turkish-Football last week that the north London outfit are in talks over a deal, and Gunners fans have been quick to react to the rumour.
New manager Unai Emery and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat could be in for a busy summer transfer window as they look to boost a side that suffered another disappointing Premier League campaign last term, and the exciting 6ft 2in tall 22-year-old is a target after an impressive campaign for the Bundesliga outfit.
If the Turkey international did arrive at the Emirates Stadium, he would be competing with the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers and potential new addition Sokratis Papastathopoulos for a spot at the heart of the defence, with Laurent Koscielny expected to be out until 2019 following the serious injury he picked up against Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal supporters, who have told their club to sign a 6ft 3in beast following a major transfer development, took to social media to give their thoughts on the potential Soyuncu move, and while one said “Sven is at it again”, another said “he reminds me of Mustafi”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…

Add Soyuncu to the squad aswell, and I’d be over the moon. We would have strengthened exactly what we needed to do.
All positive vibes so far, let’s hope we can get these deals done!
