Nine seasons at the club and the side's captain, Laurent Koscielny has been the proverbial rock for Arsenal for almost a decade.

The former France international has been the beacon of consistency throughout his time at the Emirates and battled back from a near career-ending Achilles injury to lead the Gunners out in a Europa League final, showing the type of courageous mentality that has endeared him to fans during his nine-year stay.

However, with Unai Emery looking to put his stamp on things, plenty of movement is expected in the summer in terms of incoming and outgoings at Arsenal and according to German publication Bild, Koscielny could be one of those casualties with Borussia Dortmund very much interested.

With the news that their club stalwart could have played his last game for the club in Baku, some Arsenal fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations at potentially seeing him leave and levelled the blame for that decision on Emery himself.

Indeed, after seeing the 33-year-old return from a long-term injury and fight for the cause, many Gunners supporters felt slightly uneasy at seeing a club icon be forced out of the Emirates without a proper send-off.

Some however felt that whilst the decision may be hard to see, it was the kind of ruthlessness the club needed and felt the right decision was being made in the end.
