Arsenal will face Liverpool in their next Premier League game after a solid start to the season.
The Gunners have won both of their games so far, 1-0 and 2-1 against Newcastle and Burnley respectively. Liverpool have also done the same, as well as lifting the European Super Cup, so the match is set up nicely.
Could Gabriel Martinelli become Arsenal’s star striker in the not too distant future? Deluded Gooner thinks so in the video below…
However, the match against the Reds will be a far different proposition to the previous fixtures. The Anfield outfit are the reigning European Champions and finished just one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League last time out.
And parts of Arsenal’s fanbase don’t want to see the 19-year-old in the side for the big clash, fearing he could be a liability or simply isn’t ready for such a pivotal fixture.
They have taken to Twitter to share their opinions, and you can see some of the best comments below.
Willock will be too much of a liability against Liverpool

This liverpool game is giving me concern and it isn’t Saturday yet… I just pray Emery doesn’t start Matteo or Willock in our Midfield. This boys will be bodied by the pace of the game… Believe me!!!
A point from Anfield is enough for me…

Playing at Anfield is not only about fielding runners. We must be assured in possession to hurt Liverpool. Willock for me is not yet at that level.

Liverpool beats us next week no matter what so Emery should respect himself and play Xhaka / Guendouzi. If we play Willock we’ll wreck his confidence. When Liverpool come to the Emirates Tierllerin and Holding will be fit and Pepe would have adjusted. We can use full squad then.

Feel like throwing Willock in v Liverpool away is a bit much. He has been decent first 2 games but Lfc away is much of a concern, would rather Guendouzi. Would bring AMN for Chambo too. Rather someone who is actually good wide than to risk it with Cal
All depends on fitness ofc

Guendouzi and Willock both have started well this season but I still think we need more experience away from home especially in big games. Want Xhaka, Ceballos and Torreira to start against Liverpool.

We have to make a statement. I hope the Boss makes the right selections. Willock, Nelson are good, but this is Liverpool. Xhaka should come in, Pepe a must. COYG.

Willock in midfield against Liverpool? Please. Lad will get killed. They’d over run us in midfield. Another thrashing. Guendouzi or Xhaka for him.
He hasnt exactly been brilliant both games

Willock against Liverpool?? So he gets bullied by Fabinho or Wijnaldum? If we win the midfield battle they will go the long ball way like we saw them do against Chelsea in the Super cup game.

They are good players.
But lets not overrate their technicality
Ceballos is good and must play
But if u noticed we couldnt match the physicality of burnleys mid
Liverpool press hard using their physicality…willock isnt ready for such
Lets not end the young boys career
