Danny Welbeck has been hit and miss at Arsenal since his 2014 switch from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old has struggled with injuries and has since dropped down the pecking order following recent arrivals of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Despite his lack of game time, England manager Gareth Southgate named Welbeck in his World Cup squad for Russia 2018.
The striker, who has scored 41 Premier League goals in his career, played a minimal role, and it is unclear how he will figure in Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates.
Some fans believe that Welbeck is on borrowed time due to the fact that he is yet to join up with the team for pre-season training.
According to Jeorge Bird’s Arsenal Youth, goalkeeper David Ospina has returned to training, but Welbeck remains absent.
Ospina back in training with Arsenal. Just Welbeck who hasn’t returned yet.

The striker reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with England, but the rest of his international teammates have reported back to their clubs.
Some fans have jumped to conclusions, and believe that there is only one outcome for Welbeck.
