Plenty of the conversation among Arsenal fans has been centred around the future of manager Arsene Wenger, but now focus has switched to a potential summer transfer target.
According to The Telegraph, the North London outfit are keen to invest in a central midfielder at the end of the season, and Schalke’s Max Meyer is an option.
Financially, it could be a good move for the Gunners as the 22-year-old is out of contract this summer and at the moment there are no indications that he will sign fresh terms.
If Meyer did arrive at the Emirates, it could potentially raise questions over Jack Wilshere’s future given that his deal is a matter of months away from expiring.
This season, Meyer has started 20 Bundesliga matches and has come off the bench in a further three.
The German can operate in the centre of the park, as a defensive midfielder, or further forward, which would give Wenger flexibility in team selection.
On Reddit, Arsenal fans have been having their say on the reports.
