Arsenal fans hated Calum Chambers’ performance on Thursday night

Arsenal are through to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League but suffered a scared on Thursday night after they were defeated 2-1 at home to Swedish minnows Ostersunds FK.

The visitors rushed to two-goal lead within 25 minutes, leaving Arsenal fans nervous that one of the most famous comebacks in European history might be on the cards.

The tie was put to bed shortly after half-time however when Sead Kolasinac scored to make it 4-2 on aggregate, a lead that the Gunners managed to hold onto until the end.

Fans were left frustrated and annoyed with the performance, expecting a much-changed side to put in a professional performance and see off the threat of the Swedes far more comfortably.

Much of the criticism was aimed at the defence and Calum Chambers in particular, who looked uncomfortable throughout and failed to defend well for either goal.

Many are now calling on the 23-year-old to be dropped or even sold, believing that he isn’t good enough to play for Arsenal.
