Lucas Torreira was part of Unai Emery's summer spending following the Spaniard's appointment as Arsenal manager.

The defensive midfielder arrived at the Emirates following a decent showing for Uruguay at the World Cup in Russia.

The 22-year-old, who is valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, is experiencing his first taste of Premier League football having played for Pescara and Sampdoria previously.

Emery has slowly been introducing Torreira into the team as the midfielder has featured in all four Premier League matches, but only as a substitute.

Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi have regularly been selected by the boss, but now some fans believe that it should change.

Torreira has played 119 minutes of top-flight action for the Gunners, but once the international break is over, plenty of supporters think that the Uruguayan should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Arsenal will take on Newcastle United at St James' Park when the league resumes on September 15.
