Alexandre Lacazette scored a late equaliser for Arsenal in a pulsating 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, and Gunners fans on Twitter were ecstatic with his recent form.
The Frenchman was signed by former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in the summer of 2017 for a then club record fee of £46.5m, but despite netting an impressive 17 goals in all competitions last season he never really hit the heights that were initially expected.
This season though, the 27-year-old has already scored six goals in 14 games in all competitions and looks a far more dangerous front-man.
On Saturday evening the visitors took the lead in the second half through James Milner’s low strike, but after chances for both sides, Lacazette finally came up with the goods to beat Brazilian keeper Alisson.
Check out the best reactions to the Frenchman’s performance below.
Say what you want, but we’re 14 games unbeaten now. Liverpool couldn’t break us, we played really well to fight back. Lacazette is proving to be an incredible player in this team. What a guy!

So happy to admit I was wrong about Lacazette. Whenever his name was raised over last 6 or 7 years I always argued that he was just a glorified Loic Remy – a decent finisher hoovering up chances in a weak league. Genuinely one of my favourite AFC players right now

The more I see it the better the goal gets!
The positional awareness to thunder that home, he’s a predatory CF, knows where the goal is to the cm, never needs to look, just hits shots, world class!
