Arsenal fans pleased to see £12.6m-rated star return to training

On Saturday, Arsenal defender Calum Chambers revealed that he had returned to training after recovering from a hip problem.

The 22-year-old has not featured for the Gunners since the middle of September, but has stepped up his recovery after returning to full-contact training alongside his teammates.

The centre-back spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough, but signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal just last month, and it is understood that Arsene Wenger still has high hopes for the former Southampton youngster.

Chambers, who is valued at £12.6m by transfermarkt.co.uk, took to Twitter on Saturday to confirm that he was back on the training field, and the news was met by a positive reaction from the Arsenal supporters.

It would be fair to say that Chambers has not exactly set the world alight since moving to the Emirates Stadium, but there is certainly some talent there.

He will not feature against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, but it does appear that Chambers has a future at the London club.
