Arsenal extended their winning run to four games across all competitions on Thursday night after sweeping past Ukrainian side Vorskla.
The Gunners raced into a 4-0 lead following a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang along with goals from Danny Welbeck and substitute Mesut Ozil, before conceding two late on as their performance levels dipped.
Unai Emery named a strong side for Arsenal’s first Europa League game of the season as he looks to find consistency with the North London giants and seems to have found his rhythm, with a number of players catching the eye.
One of those was Arsenal academy graduate Alex Iwobi, who proved to be a thorn in the side of Vorskla all evening and provided a superb assist for Aubameyang’s opening goal, continuing his fine run of form for the Gunners.
The Nigeria international has now contributed two assists and one goal in his last three appearances for the club and fans were quick to praise the improvement shown by the 22-year-old this season after struggling under Arsene Wenger in previous years. We have gathered some of the best reactions below.
Have to say, Iwobi really seems to be benefitting from working with Emery. He's been bright and lively whenever he's played this season. Good to see. So much potential that needs releasing in him.

Unpopular opinion: Alex Iwobi has actually been a different player this season. Has his promise back.

Iwobi is a different animal under Emery – who else noticed he seems much more physical and maybe even quicker??

Iwobi looks so rejuvenated and looking like a player full of confidence. Playing like the Iwobi from 15/16. Naija Messi in the cut‼️‼️

My thoughts on the game
1.Leno is comfortable with the ball but not so sure about his saving
2. Torreira is our best CM on current form?
3. Sokratis rock solid at RCB?
4. Iwobi is a different beast this season?
5. Good confidence boost for Auba, mkhi,Özil?

Iwobi might need to play more often. Best option we have on the wing.

Iwobi is like a new signing

Iwobi was a joy to watch last night

Fans including me are saying Iwobi is benefiting from working with Emery. The fact is Sanchez is no more playing for Arsenal. He slowed Iwobi development

Loving iwobi this season. Last season he’d have take extra touches and tried to cut in. This season, one touch, good cross, goal.

Iwobi gets more abuse than any player at Arsenal. I’ve backed him all summer and said he’d have a good season. So far he’s been very impressive. Nice to see people are starting to see it. ??

I have to hold my hands up too after last year. Iwobi looks decent too

Probably Iwobi’s best performance in an Arsenal shirt tonight. He was our most dangerous player and terrorised the Vorskla defence at every opportunity. Excited to see what Smith-Rowe can do at a senior level.
