Arsenal fans react as Gabriel shines in Valencia draw with Barcelona

Former Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista impressed as his current team Valencia drew 1-1 with Barcelona in a top-of-the-table La Liga clash on Sunday, and Gunners fans were quick to have their say on his performance.

The 27-year-old made 64 appearances for the north London outfit during two-and-a-half years at the Emirates, but he failed to establish himself as a regular in the starting XI during that time before he was sold to Valencia in August.

However, the Brazilian has been in fine form for the Spanish club this term and they currently lie second in the standings having conceded just 12 goals in their 13 league games.

Arsenal supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the centre-back, and while one said “still don’t understand why Wenger sold Gabriel”, another said “shame he never really got a chance”.
