Former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry scored once against parent club Bayern Munich for loan side Hoffenheim in their 5-2 defeat at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, and Gunners fans have urged their club to re-sign the attacker.
The 22-year-old has now scored three goals and provided a further three assists in 11 Bundesliga appearances this season, having joined Bayern from Werder Bremen during the summer, and he should have had a brace having also missed a penalty from which Mark Uth netted the rebound.
The Germany international, who has three goals in two caps for his country, left the Emirates Stadium for Bremen in 2016 having only made 18 outings in total for the north London outfit, scoring one goal.
Arsenal supporters were quick to have their say on the attacker’s latest display via social media, and while one said “should sign back Serge Gnabry”, another said ‘I would really love to have Gnabry as a back-up to Mkhitaryan or Ozil’.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Selling Szczesny and Gnabry could come back to haunt us for a very long time, both have been superb since they left the club!

I loved gnabry. Can't believe we sold him When we still had Walcott.

I found Gnabry to be great for us while he was here. IMO Arsene didnt put enough faith in him, he'd rather keep a hold of Walcott and Elneny than someone with potential. I wish we put him out on loan, or atleast have a buyback clause instead of selling him
