Unai Emery's Arsenal departure has prompted a whole host of speculation regarding his successor and Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is firmly a part of the discussion.

Indeed, his name sits next alongside Max Allegri, Nuno Espirito Santo, Mikel Arteta and Carlo Ancelotti on the shortlist of potential successors, per Sky Sports.

That Rodgers is being linked is hardly surprising given his esteemed history in football management.

There was a time when the Arsenal job would have been deemed too good to turn down but his high-flying Leicester side are a difficult outfit to walk away from.

And the 46-year-old confirmed that much recently by giving a passionate verdict on his future at the club, one which saw him strongly suggest that his heart remains at the King Power.

Despite the former Celtic boss' best efforts to ease speculation over his future, there are plenty of Arsenal fans who aren't convinced he has put speculation to bed.

Meanwhile, there were other supporters who took Rodgers' word as gospel and begun turning towards potential alternatives.

The recent dismissal of Pochettino from Spurs has clearly got some of the Gunners faithful dreaming, and Allegri, who is also a free agent, is also a name fans would like to see replace Emery at the Emirates Stadium.
