Dani Ceballos' arrival at Arsenal earlier this summer was something of a coup after the club appeared to fend off competition from rivals Tottenham for his signature.

The Real Madrid loanee made his first start for the Gunners in a competitive fixture against Burnley, and it's fair to say he has started life well in English football.

The Spain international was at the heart of everything Arsenal produced going forward, grabbing two assists, and lit up the game with a sprinkling of mesmeric touches and close control.

Ceballos departed the match in the closing stages to a standing ovation, as the Gunners ground out a 2-1 win at home.

After seeing the 23-year-old's performance, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on their summer signing.

Many Gunners supporters hailed Ceballos and urged the club to make his move permanent next year. Indeed, some fans even declared that they wouldn't send the midfielder back to Madrid once his loan deal finished.

A few suggested he is one of the best midfield players of the Emirates era and questioned whether Mesut Ozil now has a genuine role in the team.
