Arsenal weren’t at their best against West Brom on Boxing Day but they got the three points they were searching for, courtesy of a very late goal from Olivier Giroud.
Playing second-fiddle for the majority of the campaign, Giroud has performed admirably when called upon and his winning goal against the Baggies ensured the Gunners would not fall eleven points behind leaders Chelsea before the New Year.
With Giroud scoring deciding goals, Arsene Wenger may have a decision to make in the coming weeks and it would probably be wise to stick with the Frenchman against Crystal Palace, as he provides a different option up-top.
Reacting to the goal, Arsenal fans debated whether Giroud needs more regular football but were unanimous in their praise for the player that got them back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats prior to Christmas.
With Palace, Bournemouth, Preston, Swansea and Burnley to come, this could be the start of revived form and a winning run.
Giroud saved Boxing Day.

Would love to see Giroud in a 4-4-2 or even a 4-4-1-1 with us getting balls into the box for him but that won't ever happen with Wenger
