Granit Xhaka has been somewhat of a scapegoat in recent times at Arsenal.
He has not had the best of starts to the new season at the Emirates Stadium, registering a WhoScored rating of just 6.65 across the first three matches during which he has played. He was particularly criticised by supporters for the penalty he gave away against Tottenham in the north London derby.
However, that doesn’t tell the whole story. Twitter user Woz has revealed some of the Switzerland international’s stats since his arrival, and they make for good reading if you are a fan of the former Borussia Monchengladbach man.
How do football vloggers afford to watch their team week in, week out? Find out in the video below…
The 26-year-old is said to have won the most tackles and made the most passes in the final third of any Gunners player since the start of the 2016/17 campaign, whilst only Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have created more chances.
Despite this, though, it has done little to convince the Emirates faithful. They have been reacting to the tweet, and you can see some of the best comments below.
Made more mistakes that have lead to goals than anyone in the league since the start of last season

Of course he has won the most tackles [at Arsenal] and 6th most in premier league, it’s because he committed the most fouls and bookings, he also lost tackles the most.

Let’s not worry about the other stats which are since the beginning of last season therefore relevant then. ?

This is embarrassing. That final stat shows the deal here— he is just extremely overplayed

But he makes too many fouls and mistakes, so he has to go

Negatives outweighs the positives….. Xhaka is a liability.

Whats the point if he makes mistakes that leads to goals. These stats are down the drain if he continues doing stupid mistakes
