Arsenal attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has made a big step forward in his recovery from injury by playing for the Gunners’ under-23 side on Monday night. After 47 days on the sidelines, Arsenal confirmed that the 30-year-old featured for the club’s youth side in a Premier League 2 clash with West Ham United.
So, how did Micki find his comeback?

Unai Emery will be delighted to have one of his injured first team stars becoming available again, especially as the 80-cap Armenia international has been a regular starter for the north London club this season.
Check out the below above to see football played as you’ve never seen it before… in a maze!
As per Transfermarkt’s stats, Mkhitaryan has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far this season, registering four goals and three assists.
However, the attacking midfielder has been inconsistent this season, and since his January 2018 switch from Manchester United he has failed to regularly impress at the Emirates Stadium.
Following his return to the field with the under-23s, plenty of Arsenal fans took to Twitter to react to the prospect of Mkhitaryan soon returning to the first team fold…
He’s not good enough *Claude voice*

Hopefully he’s able to turn his fortunes around now and prove everyone wrong. We could really need it

Still a lot to come from this man. If we lose both Ramsey and Özil, he will become the main source of creativity.
