It was a busy Tuesday at Arsenal as the club’s fans process the news that Ivan Gazidis has left his post as Chief Executive to join AC Milan. They have also reacted to the club’s two new appointments who will replace the 54-year-old.
Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham appointed head of football and managing director respectively, as Ivan Gazidis leaves for A.C. Milan

The club confirmed Raul Sanllehi as the new head of football and Vinai Venkatesham as the new managing director of the club.
Gazidis’s move to Italy comes after plenty of speculation with some fans emphasising their happiness to finally see the back of him after 10 years at Arsenal. The Greek was an instrumental figure in finding former manager Arsène Wenger’s replacement in Unai Emery, but was called a failure by sections of the Arsenal fanbase on Tuesday.
Sanllehi and Venkatesham have, however, been involved at Arsenal before they were announced in their new positions with Sanllehi previously in charge of the club’s football relations department, while Venkatesham was first the club’s chief commercial officer.
Here are some of the reactions by Arsenal fans on Twitter to the new appointments.
Glad Josh Kroenke isn’t taking over the club. Rauls club now it appears!

We wanted a football men in the boardroom and now we have an excellent head of football, chief scout, negotiators, commercial officers. We are definately moving the right way and already seeing it with recent transfer activity and sponsorship contracts.

Well, goodbye to Gazidis. Can’t say I am going to miss him. Hopefully these new ones know what they are doing.

Good news. Vinai has proven himself with the London Olympics and Sanlehi was director of football at Barcelona. Much better track records than Gazidis and a struggling MLS at the time.
