Arsenal fans react to news that Eric Bailly is unhappy at Manchester United

Arsenal fans seem keen on having Manchester United defender Eric Bailly in Unai Emery’s squad after reports of him being unhappy at United surfaced on Monday.

Bailly, as reported by The Mirror, might be weighing up his options following his omission from the United starting XI in their last three matches.

José Mourinho opted for a combination of Victor Lindelöf and Chris Smalling in their recent wins at Burnley and Watford, while Phil Jones partnered with Smalling in United’s embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.

Bailly’s poor performance at Brighton during the second weekend of the Premier League season is believed to be the reason for his demotion to the bench.

Arsenal fans, however wouldn’t mind having a defender like Bailly – who Transfermarkt value at £31.5million – at the club’s disposal after the less than convincing start Shkodran Mustafi has had at the back this season. Arsenal have looked vulnerable in defence as they adjust to manager Emery’s belief in playing out from the back.
