Arsenal may be lining up a move for Nabil Fekir after the player's agent refused to rule out a move away from Lyon in the summer, but Gunners fans would rather the club be spending their funds in other areas of the pitch.

Arsenal have scored at a decent rate this season, with their 51 league goals bested only by rivals Spurs and league-leaders Man City, but they also have the leakiest defence in the top seven having conceded 36 goals.

With Hector Bellerin reportedly in the sights of Real Madrid, Arsenal fans are calling for Wenger to forget  bolstering his attacking options and focus on shoring up his defence.

A 3-1 defeat by Swansea City at the end of January has only added fuel to the fans' fire in lambasting their defensive line.

After that away loss, Wenger himself said: “I felt defensively we were very poor and made big mistakes.

Unfortunately I believe we were not good enough, I believe we were not disciplined enough.”

Furthermore, that defeat to Swansea meant that the Gunners had increased their points lost from a winning position to 15, a total bettered only at the time by Watford.
