After falling short in their quest to achieve Champions League football next season, Arsenal's reported budget is highly likely to be limited in the context of today's market.

Reports in recent weeks and months have suggested that another season in European competition's second tier would cap the Gunners' summer spend to £40m before sales.

Now, according to The Sun, Unai Emery has urged the club's board to dip further into their pockets to push through a move for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivorian is likely to cost big money this summer and after hearing the news the Gunners could still be in for the forward, fans of the north London side took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the rumours.

Many were left pessimistic that Emery's side could pull off a deal for the 26-year-old and felt Palace's valuation will be too steep for them to match.

Others were rather unimpressed by a potential move for the winger and claimed that the Gunners were far more in need of defensive reinforcements ahead of next season.

Indeed, some appeared to question whether Zaha could handle the step-up to a bigger club and cited his apparent failure at Manchester United as a reason not to sign him.
