Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after their former goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny pulled off a wonder save for Juventus against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

The Polish international was starting in goal for the Old Lady as they attempted to gain a stranglehold on proceedings in the first leg of the last 16 tie, although the Italian giants unfortunately lost by two goals to nil.

Despite the result, Szczesny played his part in keeping the Spaniards out with a stupendous fingertip save onto the crossbar from Antoine Griezmann's attempted lob, displaying wonderful acrobatics to keep his team in the tie.

The 28-year-old was sold by the Gunners to Juventus back in 2017 for £10m, having spent two seasons on loan at Roma prior to the move.

Given his excellent form since arriving in Turin, some Arsenal fans on Twitter are baffled as to why the Pole was given up on so quickly at the Emirates...
