[ad_pod ]One of the biggest hallmarks of Arsene Wenger's early years in charge of Arsenal was his knack for spotting talent in untapped markets like France. As time went on the rest of the Premier League and the world seemed to catch on, but the Gunners still thought they had found a real gem when they discovered Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who signed under Arsene Wenger in 2015.The ex-Lens midfielder however never really got his chance to shine at the Emirates and after moving back to France to join Angers on a permanent deal last summer, has never really looked back. After seeing their former prospect shine in France's Euro U21 win over England on Tuesday night, many Arsenal fans took to Twitter to bemoan their club's mistake in letting the 21-year-old go.

Many were left frustrated at how Reine-Adelaide was allowed to leave the club for a minimal fee and pointed out how the Frenchman was starting for a "ridiculously talented" U21's team for his country.

Indeed, some even felt a sense of deja vu in seeing Reine-Adelaide succeed elsewhere and brought up the similar successes enjoyed by Wojciech Szczesny and Serge Gnabry after making their own exits from the Emirates too.
