Arsenal failed to convince supporters they are set for success in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night after a 2-1 defeat to Swedish minnows Ostersunds at the Emirates.

While Arsene Wenger's side will progress to the last 16 of the competition regardless, fans were left frustrated with a performance and a result that were far below expectations heading into the evening's action.

The away side rushed to a 2-0 lead before the half hour mark, making things tense for supporters. However, relief washed over the Gunners fans when Sead Kolasinac scored just after half-time to put the tie beyond doubt.

While Wenger did make some changes to his team, many regular recent starts played including the likes of Jack Wilshere and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Wilshere was criticised heavily for his performance, failing to get to grips with the midfield battle nor creating anything in the final third.
