Jack Wilshere has divided Arsenal fans over the years, with some determined for the midfielder to become a club legend and others fed up with his constant injury woes.
In the summer, the 26-year-old opted to end his time at the North London outfit to join West Ham United on a free transfer.
In his departing statement, Wilshere revealed that he was offered a new deal by the club, but was informed by manager Unai Emery that his playing time would be reduced.
That ultimately led to the midfielder deciding to leave Arsenal, who he will come up against this Saturday at the Emirates.
Wilshere has not had the best time of it at West Ham as the club have lost their opening two Premier League matches – against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

However, he has made it clear that he is determined to get something out of this weekend’s clash against the club that he grew up supporting.
Via the club’s official website, Wilshere admitted that he is looking forward to the match, and added:
“It’s down to me to prove a point to Arsenal that they were wrong to get rid of me.”
Some Arsenal fans have taken issue with that comment.
