Arsenal moved into the top four on Sunday before dropping out again following their 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Gunners' centre-back trio did well to limit Harry Kane and company's opportunities in front of goal despite the absence of club captain Laurent Koscielny - the Frenchman has been sidelined since May with an Achilles tendon rupture, but played 85 minutes for the Under 21's on Tuesday as he edges ever closer to a return.

However, despite the shortcomings of Shkodran Mustafi at times this season, the Emirates faithful aren't exactly counting down the days until the former Lorient man lines up in red and white again, it would seem.

The general consensus on Twitter seems to be that the 33-year-old is way past his best and that there is no place in the lineup for him as Unai Emery ushers in a new era.
