Arsenal transfer target Steven N’Zonzi has handed in a transfer request at Sevilla, opening the door to a move to the Emirates, according to The Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old midfielder will be familiar to Premier League fans as he spent eight years playing in English football, first with Blackburn Rovers then with Stoke City.
After he moved to Sevilla in 2015, the rangy French international found another level and has impressed over the last few seasons for the Spanish club, making 90 appearances in La Liga, registering seven goals and six assists.

According to The Daily Mail, the 6ft5 defensive midfielder has a release clause of £35million, but a bid of £22million could secure his services, especially if he has indeed handed in a transfer request.
N’Zonzi played under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery when he was manager of Seville, so he clearly knows the player’s qualities and enjoys working with the World Cup player.
