Danny Welbeck has divided Arsenal fans during his four-year stay at the Emirates.

Some believe that the striker is a good option to call upon when needed, while others are fed up with his regular misfiring in front of goal.

Over the last few seasons, the former Manchester United man has also struggled with injuries, which is part of the reason why he has fallen down the pecking order at the North London outfit.

According to The Times, Everton manager Marco Silva is considering making a move for Welbeck before the transfer window shuts next month.

The Portuguese coach is believed to be keen on strengthening his attacking options and has identified the England international as a candidate.

Last season, Welbeck made 42 appearances in all competitions, including 28 in the Premier League.

In total, the 27-year-old, who was Arsenal's only representative in the England squad at the World Cup in Russia, scored 10 goals and created two assists.

After reports emerged of Everton's alleged interest, some Arsenal fans took to Twitter to urge the club to offload.
