Arsenal’s shambolic performance in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday is still casting a huge cloud over Arsene Wenger and his players.
With a lack of fight, urgency and desire, the Gunners reached a new low and were comfortably beaten by a Manchester City who barely had to get out of second gear for the entire 90 minutes.
While the “Wenger Out” brigade has been a vocal minority at the Emirates for some time, Sunday has likely seen a change in opinion from plethora of supporters who once supported the Frenchman but now want him gone.
There are a number of managers around the footballing world who have been linked with the Arsenal job over the last three days, despite no sign that Wenger will be leaving his role.
One of the managers reportedly wanting the job is Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim. Upon hearing the news that the 43-year-old is keen to take the role at the Emirates, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions…
Attacking football check, developing young players check, competing with teams with bigger budgets check, Josh Kroenke's favourite…oh dear. Would love to see him at the club, but I've a feeling son of stan will want Henry.
