On Monday, Estadio Deportivo reported that Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made contact with Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega regarding a possible move.
Emery has previously worked with the 29-year-old, who is believed to have concerns about moving abroad.
Banega, who re-joined Sevilla for a second spell from Inter Milan in 2017, made 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and creating six assists.
The Spanish publication states that the midfielder could end up being available for £17.5m due to a clause in his contract.
