For the first time in Unai Emery’s reign, Arsenal’s starting XI on Sunday included both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette from the start. In the end, the Gunners owed their victory at the Cardiff City Stadium to the deadly duo who both got on the scoresheet to ensure their side overcame the determined Welsh outfit.

Arsenal didn’t have it easy against Cardiff City, who scored twice to peg the North Londoners back from winning positions. Aubameyang and Lacazette are great friends off of the pitch and appear to be able to translate that chemistry onto it. It was a delightful flick from the Frenchman that set up Aubameyang for his first goal of the season.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that this is just the beginning of a potent partnership, and many took to Twitter after the match to praise their match-winning double-act…
