Arsenal have once again agreed to loan out Joel Campbell with the forward joining Villarreal for the remainder of the campaign, reports the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old was sacrificed by Arsene Wenger in order for the club to complete the £11.3million signing of Gabriel Paulista, who has arrived at the Emirates as part of the deal.
Although he earlier revealed his intentions to fight for a place in the Gunners’ starting XI, Campbell was unable to build on his limited opportunities and was yet to score a Premier League goal so far this season.
Upon his move to La Liga, he released a statement on his Twitter account thanking the Gunners fanbase.
Thanks to the whole family of Arsenal for their messages. I hope to make them proud ❤️ #COYG

He was tipped to be given a bigger role by Wenger following his impressive performance at the World Cup for Costa Rica, but that hasn’t been the case and will now once again be loaned out away from the Emirates.
The forward has previously played for FC Lorient, Real Betis, and most recently Olympiakos, before now heading over to Spain in search of regular first team football.
