Arsenal have been given a boost in their attempts to land midfield reinforcements next month, according to the Daily Express.
The Gunners have seen key engine room duo Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla ruled out for three months each in recent weeks as manager Arsene Wenger’s options become increasingly limited.
However, the agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho has talked up the chances of his client making a switch to London should the Gunners formalise their interest.
‘If Arsenal are interested in Jorginho, Napoli will tell me’, claimed Joao Santos.
‘One of the Arsenal head scouts is well known so I know he was at the ground’, added the agent.
The 23-year old midfielder has been an integral part of the club’s formidable title assault this season as they bid to win a first Serie A title since the days of Diego Maradona.
Though born in Brazil, he holds a dual nationality and has been earmarked as a potential Italian international thanks to his good form this year.
