According to the Spanish version of Goal, Arsenal have been in contact with free-agent manager Marcelino about their vacant managerial position following Unai Emery's exit last month, and it suggests that head of football Raul Sanllehi may have learnt his lesson.
What's the word, then?
Well, Goal report that the Gunners have been in contact with the former Valencia manager despite Freddie Ljungberg being in temporary charge, and suggested that the 54-year-old would be interested in being his fellow countryman's successor at the Emirates Stadium.
The report says that the north London outfit have received positive reports about the coach who was sacked by the La Liga club in September, and that they like his methods.

It would obviously be cheaper to get the Spaniard rather than poaching another manager currently in work, too.
Sanllehi learnt his lesson
Some Arsenal fans may look at the appointment of another Spanish boss after Emery as a negative, but there are plenty of reasons to suggest that Marcelino could be a good fit for the Gunners.
According to talkSPORT, he was hugely popular among the La Liga outfit's fan-base – the total opposite to Emery, especially towards the end of his reign – and the Emirates faithful could certainly do with having someone they can believe in.
In addition, he took Los Ches back into the top four in La Liga for two consecutive seasons following successive 12th-placed finishes previously, suggesting he can quickly turn a crisis around – something the north London side are on the verge of right now.
In doing that, Valencia also only conceded 35 times - one fewer than Barcelona - in their 38 Spanish top flight matches last term - and with Arsenal already letting in 21 in 14 Premier League fixtures in 2019/20, it suggests he could bring some much-needed defensive discipline to the capital as well.
Finally, talkSPORT suggests he was sacked because he spoke out about the owner when it came to transfers, and that is something else that perhaps Arsenal require if they are to move forward.
A manager that is willing to push and question the board should be much-welcomed by supporters, who must be growing tired by their lack of progress in recent years.
Having been the 'unanimous choice' of the Arsenal hierarchy - including Sanllehi - in 2018, it appears as though he might now have learnt his lesson with the pursuit of Marcelino.
