Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has laid into on-loan Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski for his lack of goals and performances since his move to Italy.
The German World Cup winner ended a frustrating start to the campaign at the Emirates Stadium by joining the San Siro giants for the remainder of the season in January, and was tipped to be a potential star in the club’s Champions League qualification push.
However, Podolski is yet to find the back of the net in black and blue stripes, despite featuring on eight occasions under Mancini.
And the former Manchester City coach has warned his man that he needs to get firing quickly:
“Podolski must do more.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“What he’s doing is not enough and he’s the first to recognise that.”
As well as Podolski, Inter Milan are also struggling and currently occupy a midtable spot in Serie A.
The versatile attacker is only at the club for the remainder of the campaign and could return to Arsenal ahead of next season.
