Arsenal are targeting Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou, The Express reports.
Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his defensive ranks in an attempt to build a side capable of challenging for a league crown and N’Koulou has impressed.
It has been suggested that Wenger is keen to add one central defender and the Cameroon international is high on his list of targets.
The 25 year old has impressed at Marseille this term where he has been the rock at the centre of their defence.
The French club are determined to hold onto one of their most pivotal members of their squad but Arsenal are confident they can manoeuvre a deal.
On his future, club president Labrune “We know how important he is for us. What he brings us on the pitch is more important than money in a transfer.”
