Arsenal latest: Personal terms agreed, transfer fee undecided

According to Sky Sport News Germany, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with transfer target Shkodran Mustafi.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with the German World Cup winner since his countryman Per Mertesacker was ruled out for five months with a serious knee injury.

And their interest in the one-time Everton youngster has seemingly escalated following an injury to Gabriel Paulista, leaving Arsene Wenger without a senior centre-back for the first few weeks of the new season.

According to reports in Germany, the north London club have now agreed personal terms with the 24-year-old, who can operate at right-back or centre-half.

That suggests they could sign him by Friday as previous reports have speculated – but the Emirates outfit are still yet to agree a transfer fee with his current employers Valencia.

The Spanish side reportedly rate Mustafi at around £25million and have already lined up Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala as a potential replacement.
