Arsenal launch £39m bid for Spain star, Real Madrid ready to sell

According to journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Arsenal have launched a £39million bid for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The 23-year-old has bagged 27 goals in 93 appearances across all competitions since signing for the Italian champions in summer 2014, including five goals in Europe en route to last season’s Champions League final.

A twelve-goal haul this season has been enough to earn the 6 foot 2 star a place in Vincente del Bosque’s squad for the summer’s European Championship in France, claiming a slot over Chelsea frontman Diego Costa.

And it has also generated plenty of interest in the former Real Madrid starlet ahead of the summer transfer window, with Arsenal and Chelsea both linked by The Sun last week.

Los Blancos are expected to activate a £25million buyback option for the eight-cap international before selling him on for considerably more and it appears the Gunners are ready to take him off the Bernabeu outfit’s hands.

Indeed, journalist Tancredi Palmeri – who works for beIN Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport amongst other news outlets, claims the north London outfit have launched a £39million bid.
