Arsenal are plotting a sensational £52m double raid of Granit Xhaka and Adrien Rabiot this month, according to the Metro.
Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is reportedly searching for reinforcements to supplement his club’s title challenge.
Key midfielders Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere have all suffered with long term injuries this season, though the North London outfit have so far dealt with them accordingly.
The £7m arrival of Basel dynamo Mohamed Elneny is set to be completed once the Egyptian international receives his work permit.
However, reports suggest Wenger is not done there and will splash around £37m on Borussia Monchengladbach star Xhaka, while PSG youngster Rabiot is likely to command a fee of around £15m.
In fact, the latter’s agent, and mother, is thought to have been in London yesterday for talks as the clubs close in on a deal for the 20-year old.
Xhaka is a 23-year old Swiss international, who has also been linked with Liverpool.
