Arsenal are the first club to have made a move in the race for Leicester City hotshot Riyad Mahrez, according to the Daily Star.
The Algeria international has been a shining light in the Premier League this term, having already netted 14 goals to help the Foxes storm to the top of the Premier League.
And Mahrez’s form has caught the eye of a number of top clubs across Europe, with the Daily Star claiming that the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are considering a move for the winger in January.
But Arsenal appear to have made the first move by launching an official enquiry to Leicester Mahrez’s services.
However, Mahrez has reportedly indicated that he wants to remain at the King Power Stadium until the summer at the very least.
Leicester signed Mahrez for just £400k from Le Havre nearly two years ago and since then his value has rocketed to around £25m.
The Daily Star claim Man United and Spurs are plotting January bids for the winger.
