Pep Guardiola remains determined to land Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez, according to reports in the Metro.
The 44-year old tactician is a keen admirer of the 26-year old Chilean attacker having initially signed from Udinese while in charge of La Liga juggernauts Barcelona in 2011.
As determined as he is to reunite with his former player, the Bayern Munich coach is uncertain of his own future and could be forced to wait until he knows where he will be.
Despite leading the Bavarians to Bundesliga success in his previous two seasons, and is all but certain to do so again, the Spaniard could leave the Allianz Arena at the expiration of his contract.
His current deal runs out and the end of this campaign and there have been widespread reports linking him with the job at Manchester City.
However, not having a plan in place yet is not thought to have quelled his burning ambition to land the former Blaugrana star when he commits to a club, whoever it is.
The pair enjoyed a ridiculously successful spell with the Catalan giants while at the Nou Camp, winning every trophy available other than the Champions League.
