Arsenal’s 2015 has been breath-taking. From a stuttering start to the season that had put top four football at risk, the Gunners have put together a fantastic run that has played them right back into contention for the Premier League title… well, if your glass is half full, that is!
Chelsea have a decent buffer over them at the top – seven points – with a game in hand, so any dreams of the Premier League trophy being held aloft at the Emirates Stadium in a few months’ time may be just that, a dream. However, Arsenal could well top the pile in one way if they beat Burnley this evening.
The Clarets present beatable opposition – they’re relegation candidates – and should the north London side get the three points, it will mean that Arsene Wenger’s men will have won more games on the spin than any side in the league this season.
STAT (via @opta): Arsenal have won each of their last seven Premier League games. No side has won eight in a row at any point this season.
